A Lincolnton man accused of killing two people after a car crash Saturday in Lincoln County is in custody.

According to Sheriff Bruce Beggs, Courtney D. Partlow was arrested without incident about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Lincolnton by members of the sheriff’s office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Lincolnton Police Department. He is charged with two counts of murder.

Deputies called to a crash scene Saturday at Augusta Highway and Old Petersburg Road found the bodies of Lakendra Elam, 27, and Terrence Norman, 28, both of Lincolnton, in one of the wrecked vehicles. Both had been shot. The second vehicle had been abandoned.

Great job by the LEO's getting this thug off the streets. May he get his just rewards when convicted. I doubt he'll get it though as it seems the death penalty is never given in GA.
