Police are seeking Courtney Partlow, 29, of Lincolnton, in a double homicide.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has obtained arrest warrants for Courtney Partlow, 29, on charges of murder, Special Agent in Charge Pat Morgan said. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies called to Augusta Highway and Old Petersburg Road at 10:38 a.m. found two bodies in one of the wrecked vehicles. Lakendra Elam, 27, and Terrence Norman, 28, both of Lincolnton, had been shot.

The second vehicle was found abandoned, Morgan said.

Anyone with information on Partlow is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 359-4118 or the GBI’s Thomson office at (706) 595-2575.

Russell

Maybe Lincoln countians could hire Fred Russell as a consultant on January 2. He could set up a task force, designate the area a slum, and get a super deal on a government bond to finance a sheriff deputy's patrol.

Lincoln County murders

2 people are dead and I find it disrespectful to even think of using the Russell fiasco in this.
The families of 2 human beings are grieving and a murderer is on the loose.

Another drug killing.

Another drug killing.

Courtney has been indicted before for selling cocaine.

And when he was at Lincolnton High, he was a star athlete. Now he's wanted on two counts of murder.

Why anybody gets involved with that poison is just beyond me.

Uninformed commenter

Corgimom- I'm sure you thought you had all the answers when u logged onto The GDC site to look up Courtney Partlow's criminal record but please don't assume it was a drug killing because it was not. It had nothing to do with drugs and everything to do with a jealous boyfriend and two people lost their lives because of it. One child lost her mother and father and another lost her mother at the hands of her father. Don't spread misinformation. Murder isn't something that happens in the communities where I'm from. The two that lost their lives came from good families.

Good response kellilewis,

Good response kellilewis, that particular person is quite good at spreading misinformation and is quite judgeful and haughty. Too bad she does not have a mirror, a thorough and honest look at herself would do her a world of good.

Thanks kellilewis816 and robert2410 for the clarification. Perhaps people should withhold from commenting on such a sensitive subject unless they are privy to specifics of the case.

I know a Norman too. Good

I know a Norman too. Good man. Kellilewis, your summation was my assumption when I heard about it. I had seen this on the news just 5 minutes ago. It appears that Partlow rammed the F 150 from behind, then jumped out and shot the two passengers. His vehicle was also disabled, so he hijacked a car from someone who stopped at the crash scene.
Certainly all the earmarks of a guy in a rage.

Sorry about that

When I made that post, the content of the story was not specific. The story did not have the names of the victims nor of the suspect. Now that real names are involved, the post seems insensitive. Nevertheless, I was just pointing out how often government jumps into a situation in a knee-jerk manner, establishing programs that turn out to be ineffective, but they never shut down the ineffective programs.

Oh, yeah, crackheads and

Oh, yeah, crackheads and cokeheads are just the most stable people in the world, that make great decisions. Of course.

And, of course, drug dealers are all just calm, nice, peaceful people that just solve their disputes by shaking hands and singing "We are the World". They don't have guns, they aren't vicious people.

NOW I get it. Sure.

How could I ever think otherwise?

Oh, and by the way, I didn't look for him on the GDC site, so your assumptions of what I did aren't correct.

But judgmental? You BET I

But judgmental?

You BET I am. I'm sick to death of reading about constant homicides by out of control people. I'm sick to death of people having to pay higher and higher taxes to try and deal with antisocial criminals that destroy lives, neighborhoods, and commnunties. I'm sick of people being afraid to live in neighborhoods, afraid everything they own will be stolen, afraid that they will be attacked in their own homes.

I am sick to death of all the criminals that think that they are special and that laws don't apply to them.

Oh, yeah, I am JUDGMENTAL to the MAX!

What in the heck is corgimom

What in the heck is corgimom talking about?

She assumes this is a drug killing......which it wasn't. It was a domestic case.

Then when she is called out on it.....she goes on a rampage about crackheads and cokeheads. Then she goes on a rampage about her righteous judgment against criminals, blah, blah, blah.

What does this "tirade" have to do about this article?

Facts

So my understanding so far is that Courtney rammed the F150 and the two victims were passengers? So who was driving the F150? Just a little confused. And it is awful when children lose their parents in such a manner. Pray for everyone involved.
