Henry Colley, 63, said he was in his office at the restaurant at 491 Highland Ave. when an unknown black male in all black clothing and a ski mask entered the building through a back door and put a black handgun to the side of his head, a Richmond County sheriff’s report states.

After Colley told the gunman that he didn’t have any money, the man frisked him and took a few dollars out of Colley’s pockets.

The man struck Colley in the head with the gun and dropped it. After picking the gun up, he threatened to kill Colley if he refused to open the restaurant’s safe.

Colley opened the safe and handed over two money bags, which the gunman stuffed into his pockets before walking out the back door. He was last seen walking toward Washington Road through the Surrey Center parking lot.

The gunman stuffed the money

The gunman stuffed the money bag in his pockets before walking out the door. I wonder where he bought his pants because those money bags are not small.

The PC

Community could care less. A black male robs a business. Where's the news here? Where's the outrage? Better yet, where is the anomaly? Anyone here shocked?

They Concentrate on the Coins in the Fountain

Hey, they arrested the young guys for taking coins out of the Surrey Center fountain. You can't expect them to stop robberies.

LAWLESS
Unpublished

The Augusta area is rapidly becoming a totally lawless town where no one is safe. Thugs roaming the streets looking for victims to rob and assault. Countyman can talk all he wants about progress in Augusta but unless these animals are stopped no one will come into the town to patronize the new places.

Pack heat when you're alone in your office late at night . Then you can give trash like this an unpleasant surprise when they come calling.

Profiling? Would I be called a racist if I said I was keenly

aware when black males in all black clothing were near me? Same suspect description in this story and in the man being robbed at Checkers in Hephzibah.

I guess if you look up attire in an official armed robbery manual it calls for all black. LOL! Guess it just makes the suspect fade into the night when the robbery is completed.

This does suck. Still

This does suck. Still though, this day and age, if you handle money (and even if you don't) you need a gun in ARC after dark. The alternative is learning that I am right when it's too late.
