Teen charged with stealing from employer


A Hephzibah teenager is charged with stealing $1,350 from his former employer, Game Stop on Deans Bridge Road, by using gift cards to take money from the store’s cash register, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Deaudis A. Dixon, 18, of Fox Den Road, was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and charged with misdemeanor theft by deception.

Between Oct. 28 and Dec. 7, Dixon made 10 fictitious refund transactions, according to the incident report. The store’s supervisor told deputies Dixon transferred the money to four separate Game Stop gift cards.

Dixon was on the clock at the time of each theft and his arrest Tuesday. He was booked in the Richmond County jail on a $1,300 bond.
