About 1:40 a.m., Richmond County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 2800 block of Glenn Hills Circle, where Anthony Harper said two men approached him and brandished handguns, according to an incident report.

The men told Harper to empty his pockets, and Harper handed them his wallet with $300 inside and his cell phone. The suspects then fled on foot.

The suspects were described as black and about 5 feet, 8 inches tall. One was described as being slim; the other was heavyset with long braids.

Okay, the article says Glenn

Okay, the article says Glenn Hills CIRCLE which is a totally different place than Glenn Hills DRIVE. The article maps it as Glenn Hills DRIVE. Which is it? Or even worse, is it neither, and actually Glenn Hills COURT off of Glenn Hills DRIVE? Glenn Hills Circle is near Terrace Manor Elementary School, off the opposite side of Lumpkin Road and accessed by Arcadia Road and/or Deen Avenue by way of a portion of Jeanne Road that runs next to the water tower at the highest point of Lumpkin Road. Glenn Hills Drive extends from Deans Bridge Road all the way to Barton Chapel Road, and is the main access for Glenn Hills Middle School, Glenn Hills High School, and Glenn Hills Elementary School and it crosses over Bobby Jones about halfway and has resembled the Indy 500 lately since the detour/construction at Bobby Jones and Deans Bridge Roads (Hwy 1). So which is the correct address? Law-abiding citizens want to know.

Travis, Look at the MAP,

Travis, Look at the MAP, which says Glenn Hills Drive as I noted in the comment above. And I noticed the discrepancy because OTHER media and credible sources that have both professional and personal reasons for concern have mentioned another incident on Glenn Hills Drive, earlier in the week, different specifics. Please reconcile the map and the article so they are reflecting the same location. They can't both be right; they are two different locations.

Legal - - - - and Dumb

A man ought to be able to go outside and mill around at 1:30 a.m. in a Glenn Hills subdivision and expect to be safe.

But things don't always work out as they ought to these days.

What are people thinking

I know the area, NOT what it was years ago.

Why was he out at 1:30AM walking around?

Was he returning from a bar on foot,
or maybe he had to make a "late night purchase" of something and was returning on foot or maybe he was just walking around.

Surprisingly a lot of this happens on Friday & Saturday Nights and the person living in a poor area get robbed of a lot of cash.

Why is it you can't be outside at 130am....maybe you are coming home from a trip..or work...or the hospital...the crooks are the punks to blame here...I know, nothing is what it was years ago. :(

Maybe he was in his own yard

Maybe he was in his own yard having a smoke or letting the dog do his business. I live in the area. There are all kinds of people out in the night. I've personally taken my dog out in the wee hours of the morning. Of course, a 175lb dog is a deterrent.

Used to be you could walk to

Used to be you could walk to the track and do your four miles at 4am on summer mornings without worrying about losing your life. Not anymore. People should be able to do what they need to do for rest, recreation and necessary errands anytime of day in this country (many of us are required to WORK any time of day, why not recreate and shop, too?) without having serious reason to think they might be assaulted, robbed, or murdered. Noise pollution also affects the quality of life and health here, too.

Apparently if you do carry a .38, you won't be the only one armed. Hear gunshots in the area all the time.
