Security analyst at Fort Gordon admits to falsifying timesheets

A Beech Island woman employed with a private contractor used by the National Security Agency at Fort Gordon pleaded guilty Thursday to criminal charges in federal court.

Allison Michelle Waddell, 33, admitted in U.S. District Court that she claimed almost 750 more hours than she worked, defrauding the government of more than $60,000.

Waddell worked as an analytic reporter for an NSA subcontractor from August 2009 through October 2010 and again from October 2011 to September 2012. Waddell submitted numerous time sheets falsely stating the number of hours she had worked, according to a statement from the U.S. attorney’s office.

As part of her plea agreement, Waddell has already paid $10,000 toward restitution. She faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
