Waynesboro man arrested in Athens

ATHENS, Ga. -- A Waynesboro man was arrested in Athens after police said he was seen driving a car stolen in Burke County.

According to an Athens-Clarke police report, Donald Martin, 48, was arrested and charged with theft by receiving. He was seen driving the 1992 Toyota Tercell about 2 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, Martin told police the car belonged to his girlfriend. A passenger in the vehicle was released and is not facing charges.
