A caller to Television Park on Tuesday repeatedly threatened to shoot a WJBF reporter with a shotgun.

According to a Richmond County sheriff’s incident report, officers were notified about 2 p.m. after a man made the threats to reporter Michael Miller.

The caller called the station at 1336 Augusta West Parkway again and told Miller he would be “blasted in the face with a shotgun.” The caller also threatened to kill everyone in the studio.

Miller told police he had just finished a story on Green Dot scams when the calls began. Green Dot cards are prepaid, reloadable debit and credit cards.

Suspect Pool

I can't believe there are that many Green Dot franchises in the CSRA. It ought to be easy to round up some suspects. Don't forget to check the Green Dot franchise in Aiken County while you are also looking in Richmond.
