Two Augusta men accused of aggravated assaults in unrelated shootings this summer have been indicted.

The Richmond County grand jury returned indictments against Olajuwon J. Boyd, 17, and James C. Tate Jr., 32.

Boyd is accused of aggravated assault in the Aug. 10 shooting of Julion Hamilton, 39, who was shot twice while walking on Sibley Street.

Tate is accused of aggravated assault in the Aug. 7 shooting of girlfriend Bertha Lopez, 34, at her Pinnacle Place Apartment home.

Both men probably will be scheduled for arraignment in Richmond County Superior Court on Nov. 15.
