A judge ruled Friday that a woman’s identification of one of her attackers might be used as evidence at trial.

Hamlet Perdomo, 26, is scheduled to stand trial in Richmond County Superior Court on Nov. 18. He has pleaded not guilty to charges that include murder, rape, kidnapping and robbery.

Perdomo’s attorney, Richard Goolsby Jr., challenged the identification of his client by a woman who was kidnapped and sexually assaulted on Sept. 15, 2010.

Investigator Tim Owen testified Friday that the woman’s detailed description of her attackers’ vehicle and of the three men inside enabled officers to find Perdomo, Hector Torres and Michael Rewis within a couple of hours of the attack.

Other officers took the three men to University Hospital, where Owen was talking with the woman. She was scared, Owen testified, but agreed to take a look at the men. Owen testified he stressed to the woman that the men might not be the attackers. Perdomo was the first one she looked at.

“As soon as she saw his face … she gasped for air and her knees buckled,” Owen testified. She said Perdomo was one of the men who sexually assaulted her.

Torres, 30, also assaulted her, the woman testified in January when he stood trial. He was convicted and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Rewis, 22, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He will stand trial separately from Perdomo.

All three men were charged with murder in the Sept. 11, 2010, shooting of Carl Bush Sr., 56, in a parking lot at Reynolds and Fifth streets.

They are also charged with the armed robbery of a couple on Sept. 14, 2010, a short time before another couple was accosted and the woman was kidnapped and assaulted.

Take them all out back and

Take them all out back and kill them.....now. Absolutely NO chance of rehabilitation in any of these scum. The only way to prevent them from doing this again is the kill them since some bleeding heart will let them out on parole no matter how long a prison sentence they get. Kill them now.
