A Louisiana couple are facing charges of theft after allegedly stealing military memorabilia from a self-storage unit; the woman also faces charges of fleeing from Columbia County officers which resulted in a wreck.

According to a Columbia County sheriff’s incident report, an officer was patrolling the area near Washington Road Self Storage, 4080 Washington Road, just before 3 a.m. Thursday when he saw a 1996 Chevrolet truck driving without headlights.

The officer attempted a traffic stop after finding the vehicle’s plates belonged to a 1998 Ford Explorer, but the driver fled the area.

The chase ended after the vehicle wrecked on Halali Farm Road.

The driver, Ashley Lynn Stein, 30, and a passenger, Murphy Lee Heinsohn, 43, both of Addis, La., were taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center for treatment.

Police found a large quantity of items including military memorabilia in and around the bed of the truck. Police said the items were stolen from a storage unit that had been forced open.

Both suspects were charged with second-degree burglary. Stein was also charged with fleeing/attempting to elude officers, failure to maintain lane, no proof of minimum insurance, headlight requirement and removing/affixing license plate with intent to conceal vehicle identity.

Initially I thought he was really scraped up,

then I blew up the photo and realized he was a walking Tat.

He looks like walking problem.

All that aside,nNow I am wondering how did a couple from LA., came to pick this storage space out of all the locations in Augusta?

First Bianca is this correct grammar?

A Louisiana couple are facing charges? Shouldn't it be 'couple is facing?'

Otherwise that guy doesn't look like he is too happy. I love it! LOL!

I wonder if he did not pay

I wonder if he did not pay his storage bill and was locked out of it. Did he steal his own stuff? He still switched car tags and drove with no insurance and no lights.

OJ

Thanks, HappyChimer, for the connection. It could be the memorabilia used to be his, and he wanted it back unlawfully.

OJ style

If the items was his, he must have thought stealing his own stuff back would not effect him like OJ.
