A 26-year-old Aiken man is dead after a single-vehicle crash at the Barnwell-Aiken County line this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Daniel D. Ramseur, of Whitemarsh Drive, according to Barnwell County Coroner Lloyd Ward.

Authorities said Ramseur was traveling in a 2003 Chevrolet on Highway 125 within the boundaries of Savannah River Site when he lost control of the vehicle, struck a utility pole and flipped the vehicle on its roof.

Ramseur, who was wearing his seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Toxicology testing will be performed. The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and Barnwell County Coroner’s Office.
