Man in custody after early morning shooting

A 44-year-old man is in custody after a shooting early Saturday in Augusta.

According to the Rich­mond County Sheriff's Office, Andre Glivens faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime after Emma Alston, 44, was shot in the left wrist about 1:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of Wexford Court.

Alston was taken to Geor­gia Regents Medical Center and is in critical condition, police said.

Either has poor aim or he did not intend to shoot her. He was trying to scare her and her wrist got in the way.
