Richmond County sheriff’s deputies arriving at the Broad Street bar at 2:14 a.m. learned that Christian Villalba, 24, and Jorge Villalba, 29, had been fighting in the back, an incident report said.
Witnesses said Christian Villalba waved a wood- and silver-handled pocket knife with a 2-inch blade. Nathan Hagy, 28, was stabbed in the hip when he tried to break up the fight, the report said.
The Villalbas – who share an address but whose relationship wasn’t specified in the report – fled with an unidentified third suspect and left the knife near the bar’s entrance.
Christian Villalba was arrested and faces felony charges of aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, jail records show.
Hagy, who said he was also punched in the face during the altercation, was treated at Georgia Regents Medical Center.
