A Dodge Dakota hit Jamario Sanders as he tried to cross in the 2500 block of Meadowbrook Drive just before 8:40 p.m.

Police said Santana Marah had stopped her vehicle facing west in the center turn lane to drop the child off at his father’s home. Jamario got out the car, walked behind it and ran out in front of the truck driven by Milton Lee Munn, authorities said.

The truck driver was not charged in the incident. Marah was cited for improper stopping in the road.

She let the kid out in the dark,

in literally the middle of the road, (center turn lane) to cross a heavily used road?

Since it was dark, I assumed she also had on her headlights, which had to of at least interfered with the truck driver seeing any person let alone a 10 year old cross in front of him.

But why in the middle of the road in a Turn lane????????

Why not drive the other 10 feet to drop the kid off safely????
