Richmond County sheriff’s deputies found Willie Casey Jr., 47, suffering from a gunshot wound at an apartment in the 1700 block of Hicks Street about 3:20 a.m., according to a statement from the sheriff’s office. Casey was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center, where he died.

The sheriff’s office is holding Michelle Hampton, 53, of Hicks Street, as part of the investigation but hasn’t charged her. Authorities are also looking for her son, Anthony Hampton, 17, as a person of interest, the statement said.

Anyone with information of Anthony Hampton’s whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (706) 821-1080.

This area even went into

This area even went into deeper despair when the 8'ers moved in and it will continue. It has been full of drunks and dealers for along time.

"Another one bites the dust. Augusta is

chasing Detroit."

.
Actually, Augusta is chasing Detroit economically, but chasing Chicago in the category of senseless violence.

Guess we're multi-tasking.

Where's Countyman with his comments about how great life is in Augusta? He only focuses on how great it is when a business opens in the area but ignores the fact that it becoming more and more unsafe to patronize those businesses.
