Patrick Byron Johnson, 36, of Country Lane, was booked into the Augusta-Richmond County Jail on Saturday on two charges of aggravated assault, one charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and one charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, jail records show.

David Hopkins, 29, and Billy Kirkendoll, 29, said Johnson approached Hopkins’ car, brandished a pistol and fired about eight shots in their direction, an incident report said.

Hopkins and Kirkendoll said they fled and called 911. Deputies say they found four holes in Hopkins’ car that looked similar to bullet holes.

The victims said they had met with Johnson earlier to sell him an amplifier for a car audio system.

Looked Like

bullet holes? As opposed to what? And if the bullets didn't exit the vehicle, shouldn't there be deformed slugs somewhere? Cheese Us, do we have Barney and Gomer investigating these days.

Barney: These look like bullet holes, Gomer
Gomer: Shazaam! Where do you think they came from?
Barney: Probably a gun!
Gomer: You really think so?

Now if we had stricter gun

Now if we had stricter gun laws Mr. Johnson would not have been able to purchase a weapon (sarcasm)... ahhhh.. scratch that.. we already have laws that do not allow convicted felons to LEGALLY obtain firearms, but Mr. Johnson being of the criminal mindset, did not feel it necessary to LEGALLY obtain a firearm.
