Don't Lock Your Car

This shows why it's a good idea not to keep anything of value in your car and NOT LOCK IT.

Low

This crime is low down. Breaking a window to steal something of likely no value.

People like these thugs

kill each other and even children without a second thought, so why would they care about a car window if they see something that they might want?

Nothing surprises me anymore regarding the depths of banality or depravity common among human beings walking around among us disguised as people.

About thirty or more years

About thirty or more years ago, my brother parked his car in downtown Atlanta to attend a Hawks game at the Omni. He left the car unlocked since it was a bland company car with no valuables inside. They still broke out a window to get the change out of the ashtray.... Never even tried the door.

Hephzibah

When did any part of Gordon Hwy become Hephzibah? It's already an strech when the media reports the areas of South Augusta near Tobacco road as 'Hephzibah' due to the mailing address, but the Southgate center is nowhere close.

I had to read it twice to get it. The article says a "Hephzibah man" had his car broken into. It doesn't say that that the BI-LO on Gordon Hwy. is in Hephzibah. Thank God! I agree with you that the parameters of both Hephzibah and south Augusta have been incredibly stretched by the media.

OH EXCUSE ME! I JUST RE-READ THE HEADLINE. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT AUGUSTA CHRONICLE!

Bi-Lo

The Bi-Lo on Tobacco Road has a Hephzibah address. But the one on Gordon Highway is in Augusta.

Definite evidence

of the bias.

Come on Chronicle. Hephzibah has enough self inflicted problems with-in the "mailing" route without you guys adding to the negative image!

The headline clearly reads
"Thieves break car window to steal $5 lottery ticket at Hephzibah Bi-Lo"

How about some accuracy in print!
