Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Greg Meagher said Michael Anthony Brown, 37, was pulled over in front of 1002 Broad St. for not wearing his seat belt.
A Richmond County dog unit confirmed drugs were in Brown’s vehicle, the sheriff’s office reported. Officers discovered less than a gram of methamphetamine, 21 folded pieces of aluminum foil containing heroin and a gun, it was reported.
Brown faces charges of trafficking heroin, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Brown previously told The Augusta Chronicle that he was a co-owner of Eros Bistro, 1002 Broad St., where the arrest took place.
