A woman accused of causing a multivehicle crash on River Watch Parkway last year was re-indicted Tuesday and now faces an additional charge of murder.

The Richmond County grand jury returned the indictment against Monique Sullivan, 35.

Sullivan’s previous indictment accused her of multiple counts of aggravated assault and vehicular assault. On Tuesday, the charge of murder was added.

Amelia Hiltz, 33, who was injured in the Dec. 10 crash died on July 23.

Hiltz was one of several people injured when Sullivan drove the wrong way on the parkway at high speed the afternoon of Dec. 10, according to sheriff’s investigators and witnesses. Hiltz was married and the mother of two small children.

Sullivan, who has been free on bond pending trial in Richmond County Superior Court, will have to request bond on the murder charge. Her case is assigned to Judge J. David Roper.
