Two men accused of attacking a couple on Riverwalk Augusta in May entered not guilty pleas Friday in Richmond County Superior Court.

Kevin D. Richardson, 21, and Robey E. Moses, 21, pleaded not guilty to two counts of criminal attempt to commit murder and two counts of armed robbery in the May 3 attack on Wesley Spires and Ashley Solesbee.

Moses and Domonique S. Hale, 19, also face an additional count of robbery in a May 2 attack of a man in the 500 block of Broad Street. Richardson and Moses also face a hijacking charge in connection with that attack.

Well, of course they're not guilty..

Rumor has it, that they were both out collecting donations for the March or Dimes when this terrible crime occurred.

Or they were attending a university lecture on Renaissance art following the Dark Ages.

One of the two. I keep forgetting.

This was without any doubt A HATE CRIME and should be treated like one. If it had been whites attaching blacks the racist AG would have insisted it be a hate crime and this time I would have agreed with him.

I'd laugh if it weren't so disgusting

I hope they keep right on pleading not guilty, right up to the point that they are found guilty on all counts and then get the maximum sentences, to be served consecutively.

The garbage needs to be contained in the societal trash bin until it assumes ambient temperature and can be buried in the ground.

You've really got to wonder

exactly what kind of strange and bizarre person could thumb down every single one of the comments above. A hater for sure.

I'm not thinking they're all that likely to be reading the paper 'bout their babies, especially online. I certainly could be wrong, but usually when mommies get involved in discussions about their violent, criminal offspring, they have something scathing to say about us for the way we describe their poor, misguided babies.

Proposed Excuses

We did not run, we took vacations at the same time in different directions.

We did not have any help going on vacation, we had $$ saved up.

I know plenty of people 1500 mile north of here.

Just decide to visit people on SC. that morning.

We had a baseball bat BECAUSE:
**we just finished a late night ball game.
** it was late out and you never known what type of people you meet.
** we found it and were going to turn it in to the RCSO.

We thought they were going to rob us, we acted in self-defense.

We asked to borrow the cell phone to:
** call RCSO to turn in the bat.
** to report a crime.
** call for a ride.
** call our mother & father.

Everyone is welcome to add to the list...

It wasn't a hate crime, they

It wasn't a hate crime, they would've done that to anybody. They didn't single them out because they were white.

They went there with the intent to rob somebody, it didn't matter who it was.
