SRP holdup suspect in custody after surrendering

A bank robbery suspect is in custody after surrendering to authorities Thursday.

Kerstin Simpkins, 35, has been charged with robbery by intimidation.

Simpkins was a suspect in the Aug. 1 robbery of SRP Federal Credit Union, 3120 Peach Orchard Road. Police said the woman handed a teller a note demanding money. No weapon was used.
