According to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies were sent to the scene about 1:30 p.m. and Daniell Simmons, 26, with a gunshot wound to the stomach and Kevin Hanna, 22, with a gunshot wound to the head. Both were taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center.

Police say that Simmons has since been released from the hospital. Hanna is currently in critical condition.

Witnesses told deputies they saw a black man running toward T. W. Josey High School’s football stadium, shooting a weapon as he ran.

Essie McIntyre and her

Essie McIntyre and her turbans.

She would be ashamed and saddened to see what Augusta has turned into.

Statistics

Does this count as one violent crime or two in Sheriff Roundtree's tally?

This would be big news when i was a kid.

Now it happens so much that you almost get desensitized to the violence.

It seem the Gun Buy back program missed a few.

This is one or several problems with any Gun Buy Back program.

The wrong people turn in the firearms, when it should be others doing so.

If you ask Sgt McDaniel, it's not a violent crime at all.. just a little ol' shooting..
