About 5:30 p.m., narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at a home in the 1400 block of Collins Road in Martinez, Capt. Steve Morris said.

When officers arrived, the armed suspect brandished a weapon and was shot by one of the investigators. Morris said two investigators will be placed on administrative leave with pay as a result of the incident.

Four suspects were arrested, and the wounded suspect was taken to a local hospital for treatment, Morris said.

Marijuana, cocaine, three weapons and more than $8,000 in cash were seized from the home.

The names of the investigators and suspects were being withheld as the investigation continued, Morris said late Friday.

GREAT JOB

Great job by CC sheriff's deputies. Glad they weren't hurt taking out the scum selling drugs. Drugs are destroying the fabric of our country and dealers should be treated harshly when ever possible.

If there were no users there

If there were no users there would be no dealers, and if there were no dealers there would be no users. If there were no eggs there would be no chickens, and if there were no chickens there would be no eggs. It's a no win situation.

Bad shot!

Now we have to pay dr bills and incarceration fees. Deputies aren't taught to shoot anywhere but in the center of the chest or the head if they are that good.

Must have been in a difficult situation to not get a kill shot!

Two investigators suspended.

Two investigators suspended. Does that mean one was a poor shot and the other fired but missed completely? Back to the target range for both. Center torso guys, center torso.

Great Job Officers.

Dichotomy any time an officer is involved in a shooting they are automaticly put on Administrative leave pending the investigation to whet led to the shooting. The Officers did the right thing at least it sounds that way
