Deputies were called to SRP Federal Credit Union, 3120 Peach Orchard Road, about 2:30 p.m. after a black woman handed a teller a note demanding money.

She was described as 5-foot-1 to 5-foot-5 and wearing a red tank top, dark sweatpants and sunglasses. Police said she was wearing a wig at the time of the robbery, but it was recovered outside the nearby Dollar General.

She was last seen running from the area toward Windsor Spring Road.

dichotomy

She can be charged with armed robbery anyway; if SHE made statements, which made the bank believe she was armed. Just like you can be charge with armed robbery, even if it's a toy gun. If you give the perception that you have a gun, it's armed robbery!! Being a Bank, it will be federal anyway.

I grew up on the southside....Wheeless rd, Rollins, Sego, Butler. It was a nice safe area of Augusta to live until the lat 1970's when things began to change. It seems something like this is a daily occurrence.
