Man says friend shot him during argument

A 20-year-old man was hospitalized Saturday after an argument with a friend turned violent.

Richmond County sheriff’s deputies responding to Deans Bridge Road near Old Tobacco Road found an injured Steven Adams, who had been shot in the arm and leg. Adams said he was riding with a friend when the two began to argue, and the friend brandished a handgun and shot him twice, a sheriff’s office news release said.

Adams was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center. The suspect has been identified as a black male who goes by the name “Lou,” the release said.
