Man injured in shooting Wednesday

Police are searching for a 23-year-old man suspected of shooting another man early Wednesday morning.

According to a news release from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, police responded to a shooting shortly before 1 a.m. on Oellerich Avenue and found a man with a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police are searching for George Edward Powell, who left in a vehicle.

Anyone with information on Powell’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1080.

There is no Olreich Avenue in Augusta, Hephzibah, or Martinez. You might want to check the spelling on that address or could it be street or road instead of avenue?

Philo, I do not think the good can control the bad no more than we can but I do think they got too outraged over Trayvon and Zimmerman and none over the killing of the baby in a stroller by the black robber.
