A woman severely injured in December in a multiple-vehicle crash on River Watch Parkway died Tuesday.

Amelia Hiltz, 33, was one of several people injured when Monique Sullivan drove the wrong way on the parkway at high speed the afternoon of Dec. 10, according to sheriff’s investigators and witnesses.

Hiltz died at University Hospital at 7:30 a.m. from complications related to her injuries, according to Richmond County Coroner Grover Tuten. Hiltz was married and the mother of two small children.

Sullivan, 35, has been indicted on felony charges, including five counts of aggravated assault, two counts of vehicular injury, cruelty to children and several traffic violations.

District Attorney Ashley Wright said by e-mail that “I don’t comment on pending cases, (but) I can tell you that it is important that the charges reflect the evidence and can be updated to reflect changes.”

Sullivan, who is free on bond pending trial in Richmond County Superior Court, is scheduled for trial before Judge J. David Roper on Aug. 19.

Let's see here.....

.....Cracker Barrel woman denied bond but this woman, who is now responsible for the death of an innocent person, is still out on bond? It should be revoked and she should be sitting in the slammer.

Tragic

What a tragedy. God bless all of those involved. May something positive and hopeful come out of this situation for the sake of this dear family.

You got it, Jake.

This perp showed not the slightest bit of remorse and gave no indication she accepted responsibility for the devastation she caused.

It's the price our culture is paying for allowing so many people to age to adulthood without a shred of civic decency or any comprehension of the rights and dignity of others.

This awful woman stole the life of another woman, a mother and a positive contributor to our city, and she can't even express regret at having destroyed her life and devastated her family.

She is the perfect representation of the soulless, arrogant self-centeredness, the product of moral relativism that has been foisted on us all, thanks to the removal of all faith and values from the American education system and our nation's failure to require so many generations of so many families to become responsible citizens.

And, God help us, it's people just like her who keep voting for the same debased, soulless degradation every two years.

Special place in hell

There's a special place in hell for Sullivan. The DA needs to step it up to charge her with a capital offense and make it stick so she can get there in a more timely fashion.

Her charges need to be

Her charges need to be upgraded to vehicular homicide and her bond should be revoked. There was no sense at all for her to continue driving at 60 mph on the wrong side of the road and with her own child in the car. Bless all involved.

Based on what I've heard

Ms Sullivan had injuries of her own and as long as she's out of bond her medical bills are her problem, but as soon as she gets arrested then we provide her with medical care. Long story short my guess is in or out of jail the tax payers are still flipping the bill for her medical bills!

A Terrorist

From reports, Monique Sullivan was warned by numerous other motorists who flashed headlights, etc. It is hard to believe she did not know she was driving in the wrong direction, yet she continued anyway at an alarming rate of speed which resulted in tragedy. If she did know, yet willfully proceeded, how would that make her actions any different from the actions of a terrorist?

black. Nothing of a serious nature will come of her trial. White people, with the exception of me, are intimidated by blacks. If I had my way, she'd be on a chain gang, pending the outcome of her trial. If found guilty, she'd clean Riverwatch Pkwy, I-20 and every other highway in Georgia with a tooth brush every day of her sorry life.

time and place

As I mentioned above, this is a horrible situation which should have been avoided and has now resulted in a senseless death. I personally don't know either person but have had the victim on our intercessory prayer group. However, to make comments about how the driver feels or not, that she should go to Hell, etc., based only on opinion and not on anything posted as fact should be held until proper details are available. Our society prosecutes people before they even get to court and you run the risk of them getting off on lesser or no charges because of the media and forums like this. Spend your time helping the victim's family and pray for a favorable outcome.

"However, to make comments about how the driver feels or not..."
_______________________________________

I didn't notice anyone referencing her feelings but rather her actions and her lack of expressing any remorse, etc. As for going to hell, well, as with us all, that will happen only if she chooses to go there of her own free will, which I am sure you know.
