Suspect testifies in kidnapping, attempted rape case

  • Follow Crime & courts

A man accused of kidnapping a woman and her toddler testified in his own defense Thursday, telling the jury the young mother instigated the encounter and he was innocent of everything but a few traffic offenses and battery.

Leonard Sapp, 44, whose criminal history goes back to 1998 and includes more than one violent crime, has pleaded not guilty to hijacking, kidnapping, criminal attempt to commit rape and several traffic offenses.

A Richmond County Superior Court jury is expected to begin deliberations in the case Friday.

Not just a predator,

but a lying, loser, chicken-livered predator. Like anyone but his mother would believe such a stupid story.

This sorry excuse for a primate should never be allowed to walk the streets again, not ever. With least 15 years of violence against others that merited police intervention, it needs a permanent cage.

Let the others like this one mete out the justice that is so richly deserved.
