Police responded to a home invasion at an Augusta home Tuesday afternoon after three men forced their way through the front door.

Once inside the home in the 1800 block of Cheryl Drive, two of the suspects ransacked the house while the third held the homeowners at gunpoint, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office news release. No injuries were reported.

The suspects, described as black men with white shirts wrapped around their faces, all carried “automatic handguns.” They fled in a gold Dodge Stratus with tinted windows.

Nothing about what they took with them?

Did they leave empty handed? Were they looking for drugs, guns, what?
