North Augusta man accused of drug trafficking, assaulting officer

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a North Augusta man accused of trafficking drugs and assaulting a police officer.

Police say they have felony arrest warrants for Anthony Brent Swearingen, 32, of Pleasant Lane, for trafficking methamphetamines, aggravated assault on a police officer, fleeing and attempting to elude police, according to a news release.
