According to a news release, Richmond County sheriff’s deputies were called to 1384 Greene St. just after midnight, where they found Paul Lee Adams, of the 700 block of Walton Way, on the ground. Adams was bleeding from wounds to his face and head.

He was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center’s shock trauma unit, where he is listed in critical condition, according to the sheriff’s office. Police said Adams’ injuries included a fractured skull.

Walter “Lee” Hopper, 44, was apprehended about 8 a.m. in the 500 block of 15th Street. He faces charges of aggravated assault.

willing to bet if the Salvation Army was located in an area away from da hood, there'd be fewer assaults.

POPs now you've gone and done it.

You have claimed part of Downtown is unsafe at night.
You have spoken the secret words to conjure up the PRO-ARC Wizard. ☺

Whether the victim dies or not we are likely to see politicians and activists out during the "DAY" protected by RT-CSO telling us how safe it is.

In defense and hopefully to cut them all off at the pass, from either a long repetitive PRO-ARC posting, or to avoid a symbolic Safe Streets march.

This happened outside the CBD being on the other side of 13th and several blocks further up.

Many of us with a heart for our fellow man welcomed the idea of the SA center for one reason. But, many of those same warmhearted people also warned it would quickly attract and be abused by many the lowest common denominators of society if not provided additional RCSO enforcement.

Maybe some addition RCSO patrols during the warmer months since the area is and was already prone to problems?

BTW: To the PRO-ARC Wizard.
An as a reminder:
Like Ice Tea with too much sugar added, everyone stops drinking it after the 1st or 2 sip.

Ever drive past that area? At any hour of the day or night it's filled with people with "issues", most of which involve alcohol and/or drugs. They glare with resentment at anyone who drives past and it doesn't surprise me that this man was beaten. It was probably over a half-empty can of beer or a piece of dry cardboard to sleep on.
