Two Richmond County sheriff’s deputies were involved in wrecks Tuesday night, both receiving minor injuries.

Off-duty Deputy Alan Alspaugh was involved in an accident with a gray Mercury Sable about 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, near 5092 Mike Padgett Highway, a news release said. The drivers of both vehicles were taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center.

About 7:40 p.m., Deputy Richard Justice was driving to a home invasion call when his patrol car struck a curb near the intersection of Pickens and Milledge roads, the release said.

The accidents were unrelated. No further details were available late Tuesday.
