After receiving a 911 call, sheriff’s deputies went to 340 Aiken Road, where a woman told deputies that the suspect approached her and the other victims brandishing a handgun. The 911 caller told deputies that the suspect fired two shots toward his girlfriend and her children as they sat in a vehicle and then fired again as she ran toward an apartment entrance.

One victim suffered injuries resulting from a physical assault by the suspect. She was treated at Aiken Regional Hospital for her injuries.

The suspect had fled the area in a vehicle before deputies arrived in the area.

Sheriff’s investigators are obtaining warrants for attempted murder and other charges.
