15 handguns stolen from Aiken store

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a burglar who stole 15 handguns Saturday morning from Outdoors Unlimited at 2550 North Columbia Highway in Aiken.

Deputies responded to an alarm at the business about 2:45 a.m. and found the front door open, according to a news release.

When the owner arrived, he notified authorities that 15 handguns were missing. The guns, valued at more than $6,000, included five .22-caliber handguns, three 9-mm, two .38-caliber, two .32-caliber, one .40-caliber, one .45-caliber and one .44 magnum, according to an incident report.

The guns have been entered into the FBI’s National Crime Information Center.
