A burglar stole $950 worth of audio equipment from a parked truck in downtown Augusta on Friday morning.

Charissa Marshall, 60, of Broad Street, told police that someone entered her 2001 Dodge Ram and stole a radio with a DVD screen, a 2,000-watt amplifier and two 12-inch speakers between 1 and 9 a.m. Friday, an incident report said.

Marshall said she discovered the dash torn up and the items missing around 9:30 a.m. The vehicle was locked, but the driver-side window was rolled down a couple of inches, the report said.
