A bride injured in an Appling wreck that killed her husband June 1 has been upgraded to good condition, according to a Georgia Regents Medical Center spokeswoman.

Crystal Lynn Krentler, 35, was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition after her husband, Brian Allen Orzechowski, 36, crossed the center line on Washington Road and hit an oncoming vehicle.

Orzechowski was pronounced dead at the scene. Columbia County Coroner Vernon Collins said the couple were on their way to their honeymoon at Pointes West Army Resort at Thurmond Lake.

Torvoy Curry, 35, who was driving the other vehicle, was charged with driving on a suspended license and with an open container of alcohol. Police said Curry was not at fault in the crash.

Open conditioner?

"Torvoy Curry, 35, who was driving the other vehicle, was charged with driving on a suspended license and open conditioner." Was he driving while washing his hair?

I'm just curious but in every article concerning this horrible accident it list the bride as Crystal Lynn Krentler. Wouldn't she be Crystal Lynn Orzechowski?

Thanks for the sarcastic

Thanks for the sarcastic remark palmetto....you could have just kept your comment to yourself. I realize in rare cases some women choose to keep their last name, I just found it odd is all.

My daughter in law kept her

My daughter in law kept her maiden name because she had established a website photography business under that name. So it made sense not to change it.
