The 32-year-old woman, of Norfolk, Va., told police she met an unknown man at a Washington Road gas station around 5 a.m. and brought him to her hotel room at the Marriott on Stevens Creek Road, a Richmond County sheriff’s report said. When the man went to leave, two men entered, one carrying a handgun. The victim handed over a gold watch, a gold bracelet and an iPhone 4, the report said. The items were valued at more than $600.

The woman could not describe the men because the lights were off, and the hotel clerk said he did not see anyone entering or exiting the building at the time of the incident, the report said.

Laney Walker & ANIC

Well, at least some of the hotel tax the woman paid on her room will go into ANIC's account to improve housing in the Laney-Walker district. All was not in vain.

Don't you have to enter the Marriott rooms via a lobby that goes by the desk? Isn't the area monitored with cameras? Marriott rooms don't open to the outside...do they?

RM, you are right! Marriott's are monitored with cameras and you will normally enter through the lobby, unless you enter a side door. But, those side doors are normally locked and you have to use your key (card) to enter those, which would show on the hotel computer! There's ether not enough information reported, or the odor of an old fish market here!

IF

she was robbed, at the very best it shows really Stupid judgement.

At the worst really self destructive (Death Wish) tendencies, and should under go a 48 hour exam.

BTW: was there a reason the AC left out her name ?

A Half Days Inn would be more appropriate at this location.

Maybe lunch at the Mexican, thousands of drug money in the safe, Restaurant nearby. This is not an area you want to frequent. Especially in the ARC of No Covenant. There should be a sign on I-20 warning of danger at this exit ramp.

Sounds like Miss Virginia has met "Rock" from the other robbery article.

"Rock" seems to make folks do some crazy things...you know like drive from Warrenton to Cherry Tree or invite someone you met at a gas station at 5:00 AM back to your hotel room.

"Rock" seems to have a power over folks....

Laney Walker and ANIC II

Two serious bottomless pits that money is wasted on every day.

Yes, she might just be passing through. This could be a recon trip, getting ready for next year's "golf outing" in April.

here ya go

In Today’s Search For Nookie Files, courtesy of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office:
Quinderiaus had been having a conversation with “The Rock” on Facebook. Saturday morning he made arrangements to meet The Rock for the first time at the Smart Grocery on Wrightsboro Road at 9:30. The Rock asked for a ride to Cherry Tree Crossing. And then The Rock pulled a knife and robbed Q of $10 and his Droid.
Earlier Saturday morning Neiki met a man named either Derrick or David at a gas station on Washington Road. She invited him back to her hotel room and they had sex. When the “unkown subject” went to leave, two other males entered and stole her Michael Koris watch, a bracelet and an I Phone 4. She couldn’t give a description of the perps as the lights were out.
