Aiken woman accused of trying to kill husband

An Aiken woman is facing attempted murder charges after police said she stabbed the man she married about two months ago.

According to an Aiken Public Safety news release, Cynthia Siau, 60, stabbed Louis Harrell Siau III, 60, in the head and back with a kitchen knife about 11 p.m. Tuesday after they had been drinking and arguing about the remote control at their home in the 400 block of Date Palm Circle.

Louis Siau was treated and released from a hospital.

Police said Cynthia Siau, who was highly intoxicated, defecated on two of the three officers while they tried to arrest her.

Sgt. Jake Mahoney said it is not unusual for the act to happen during arrests. Fear, stress and alcohol can all lead to those incidents.

“It happens more than you realize,” he said.
