A 56-year-old Evans man died Thursday after a head-on collision in Burke County.

According to a Georgia State Patrol spokeman, a Cadillac Catera driven by Brandon Deshaun Nunnally, 25, of Hephzibah, crossed the center line after coming around a curve on River Road and struck a Honda Accord driven by Paul E. Jackson around 7:34 a.m.

Both drivers were transported to Georgia Regents Medical Center. Jackson later died from his injuries.

The GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the crash.

car accident

I've been passed several times on the way to work where there are double yellow lines. Slow down and be safe. Enjoy you're families instead of leaving them alone to mourn!

Driving Too Fast

Driving too fast, or not paying attention while in a turn. Better not have been texting. Prayers to Mr. Jackson's family.

That is a dangerous road

That is a dangerous road under any circumstances. It is narrow and winding; and not designed to carry the volume of traffic using it daily. It should be widened, and considering the money Vogtle pumps into the state and county economies, they can well afford to.
