Suspect in Paine College sexual assaults indicted again Tuesday

Dantzler

The suspect in a sexual assault inside a Paine College dorm this spring was indicted again this week.

On Tuesday, a Richmond County grand jury returned an indictment against Jarius R. Dantzler, 18, in the March 7 rape of a student in a restroom of Paine’s all-female Graham Hall dorm.

Last week, a Richmond County grand jury returned two indictments against Dantzler that accused him of a Nov. 18 rape attempt of another Paine student after breaking into her dorm room, and a Feb. 16 assault on a woman who was sleeping in bed with her child when someone broke into her home, beat and choked her and stole her purse.

Dantzler has been scheduled to be arraigned Friday on the Nov. 18 and Feb. 16 cases.
