Marshals catch SC fugitives in McDuffie

THOMSON -- Two South Carolina brothers -- one wanted on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor -- were captured Thursday by U.S. marshals at a McDuffie County motel.

According to Deputy U.S. Marshal Douglas Leslie, Walter Thomas Alexander, 30, was arrested at the Scottish Inn on Cobbham Road. Alexander was wanted by Travelers Rest, S.C., police on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.

His brother, Brad Scott Alexander, 23, was wanted by authorities in Pickens County, S.C., on burglary charges. He also was arrested at the motel.

Both are being held in the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center awaiting extradition.
