Alexandra Elena Lopez-Chavez, 47, who lived at the White Road home searched by sheriff’s investigators Wednesday, was charged with trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in heroin and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, Capt. Steve Morris said in an e-mail.
Lopez-Chavez was in the home when investigators, who had obtained a search warrant after an undercover operation, entered about 4 p.m. Wednesday, Morris said.
Four men found in a shed near the home also were arrested, Morris said. In custody are Alfredo Reyes-Valdez, 34, and Ranulfo Valdovinos-Enriquez, 41, both residents of the White Road address; Ezequiel Segovia Chavez, 29, of the 100 block of Daffodil Avenue in North Augusta; and Luis Emillio Figueroa, 27, of Applecross Apartments in Martinez.
All five are being held without bond at the Columbia County Detention Center, and authorities are attempting to determine their immigration status, Morris said.
Investigators seized two kilos of cocaine hidden in a freezer inside a camper behind a barn on the property, and about one pound of heroin and one pound of marijuana in a cooler inside the barn, Morris said. They also discovered 546 suspected small marijuana plants on a trailer in a field, and seized $14,198 in cash and six firearms.
The plants are being sent to the GBI Crime Lab. If they are confirmed to be marijuana, all of those arrested will be charged with manufacturing marijuana, Morris said.
In addition to the cash, authorities seized and intend to file condemnation on a 2003 Nissan Maxima, a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500, a 1997 GMC Sierra 1500, a 2003 Ford Super Duty, a 2000 Toyota Tundra, a Yamaha Wolverine 4x4, an Arctic
Cat 650 4x4 and a Bobcat with trailer.
