Man suffers concussion, loses car in attack

A man was attacked and had his car stolen after leaving an Augusta business Thursday night.

The Beech Island man was walking to his car from the Riverfront Pub at about 11:45 p.m. when he was assaulted by an unknown person. He received injuries to his face and head and was diagnosed with a concussion, according to a news release.

The assailant took the keys to the victim’s dark gray 2002 Hyundai Sonata GLS with the SC tag 1909FR, which hasn’t been recovered.
