Desmond D. Thompson, 18, of 2427 Amsterdam Drive, was arrested about midnight on a felony charge of first-degree burglary.

When Richmond County sheriff’s deputies found Thompson, his hands were covered in blood and he was standing in the front yard of a home on the 2200 block of Winston Way, within feet of a 2008 Suzuki XL7 whose front-end was smashed into a tree, according to a police report.

While investigating a burglary at Fred’s at 2416 Windsor Spring Road, two deputies reported they heard a “loud crashing noise” coming from a neighborhood behind the dollar store.

The deputies had been flagged down by a 61-year-old man who said he saw a young man trying to break into locked cars.

Deputies never found a burglar, but they did report that the glass door to Beeper Connection was smashed, the business’ alarm was sounding and a magazine to a .25-caliber handgun was lying in front of the store. Deputies followed a blood trail to Fred’s, where the front door was shattered.

Inside the wrecked Suzuki, they found a .25-caliber gun.

The kind

that don't get background checks to purchase a legally-bought weapon, since stolen ones are much easier, which this one probably is.

He's just a child and not capable of mentally carrying out any criminal activity. I venture to say he has a voter registration card, in part placed at his disposal by democratic voting drives. In my opinion, still not mentally capable of making a logical decision. But, look at democrats. That's their problem, also.
