According to Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Calvin Chew, two people entered Superstar Wine and Spirits, 3215 Deans Bridge Road, around 10:13 a.m.

An employee, who was in a walk-in cooler when the two subjects entered, told police he locked himself in the cooler for protection. The employee did not see a weapon.

Police said they took the employee’s briefcase that had an undisclosed amount of cash inside and fled the scene.

The K-9 unit is assisting with the search of the area.

Lock?

Is it possible to lock yourself in a large refrigeration chamber like that? You would think the OSHA would have mandated that large refrigerators be prevented from being locked from the inside to prevent suffocation accidents.

Oh great...

Oh great, was just breathing a sigh of relief that the murderer had been caught and now around the OTHER corner (exaggerating just a wee bit), THIS. Well, will just have to double-check those doors and windows; keep 'em locked! And be aware of surroundings...sigh...Yep, I'm definitely calling anything suspicious in...
