The suspect is identified as Steve Lawrence Allen, 52, of Springhill Road, Blythe, police said. He faces charges of murder and aggravated assault in the slaying of Linda Crumbley, 57, and wounding of her son Mario Crumbley, 33, and daughter Dekrizia Crumbley, 27, at their home in the 3500 block of Biltmore Place off Meadowbrook Drive.

All three were taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center, where Linda Crumbley died, according to Deputy Chief Coroner Mark Bowen.

Mario Crumbley was in critical condition and Dekrizia Crumbley was in serious condition, Lt. Calvin Chew, of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, said in a news release.

After the shooting, police tracked Allen’s vehicle to Vidalia, Ga., about 100 miles from Augusta, where he was captured Tuesday afternoon in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Toombs County Sheriff Alvie Lee Kight Jr. said a woman identified as Johnnie Marie Stevens, 49, was with Allen. She was charged with obstruction, Kight said, adding that he did not think she was involved in the shootings.

Neighbors on Biltmore Place said they did not know the victims very well and were not initially alarmed when they heard gunshots around 9:30 a.m.

“I heard, ‘Pop, pop, pop,’ ” said Martin Rouse, who lives nearby. “When we heard the shots, we came to see.”

Neighbors said they believed the shots were the result of someone shooting into the air until they saw sheriff’s vehicles and ambulances pulling up.

An autopsy is scheduled for today for Crumbley.

well the master's is over so now the lipstick and perfume can be washed off the "pig" and it can go back to business as usual-back to the shootings, robberies, rapes, and drugs by the roaches and monkeys

Steve lived in Dearing, GA in 1993.
Before that, Steve lived in Harlem, GA in 2005.
Maybe they should check his brother house in Thomson, GA.

Common Occurrence

From the story:

Neighbors on Biltmore Place said they . . . were not initially alarmed when they heard gunshots around 9:30 a.m.

It's pretty common there.
