Washington Road store robbed

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Washington Road convenience store Thursday night.

According to a statement from Richmond County sheriff’s deputies, a clerk at the Circle K, 2916 Washington Road, told them a man came in about 11 p.m. and presented a note demanding cash. The clerk complied, deputies said, and the man ran off.

The suspect is described as a black male about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing a gray and black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes with black laces and blue soles. The suspect also had a black scarf wrapped around the bottom of his face.
