One man was arrested after police said he fought with another man and fired a shot inside a Broad Street bar.

Witnesses told police that Darrell Parnell Butler, 24, and Brycen Clark Sink, 23, were fighting inside The Playground Bar, 978 Broad St., shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday when Butler pulled a gun and fired one shot into the air. Both men ran east on Broad Street, but were caught by police.

Officers found the gun in a trash can on McCartan Street. Butler is charged with reckless conduct, simple battery and other charges from another state.

A very good opportunity for a PROSECUTOR and/or JUDGE to use EXISTING GUN LAWS to INCARCERATE Mr. Butler for a MEANINGFUL amount of time to PUNISH him for his misuse of his (probably stolen) weapon.

Lock 'em up!

I have been advised that the primary reasons that federal prosecutors do not enforce federal firearms laws on a regular basis is due to the fact that there is literally no place to put them. The prisons are over run... If anyone out there really wants to be come the next billionaire, all you have to do is come up with a self sustaining, scalable prison design for low to medium risk prisoners.

Prison Design

Our forefathers had a design, it was called a work camp and they were totally self sufficient. They raised all their own vegetables, beef, pork and chickens and sold the excess to the communites surrounding. Enough money was made from this to pay the salaries of the Employees as well as the overhead. Bring back the Chain Gang!!
