An officer was called to the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center emergency room, where the boyfriend of a local woman was being treated for a three-inch machete wound on his knee, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
The couple began to argue about getting a house together, when the girlfriend asked her boyfriend to leave, and retreated into her ex-boyfriend’s house, where she was staying temporarily.
According to police, the boyfriend charged through the gate and attacked the ex-boyfriend. The ex reached for something to defend himself and picked up a machete, striking the boyfriend in the knee.
Both parties declined to press charges, according to police.
